The seasons of Brittany
The advantage of Brittany is that one can visit throughout the whole year! Depending on the 4 seasons in Brittany, the region transforms, the wild nature evolves as well as the climate. Brittany in Spring
Spring in Brittany remains a rather rainy month, just until the end of March. As of April, the temperatures begin to rise and rainy days are more spread out. April and May tend to be the favourite months of the Bretons as the high season has not yet started, but the touristic activity starts to wake up and restaurants begin to open. It is also the time of the year where nature begins to bloom and the colours of the environment change all the time. Do not miss the chance to visit the multicoloured famous tulip fields at the Pointe de la Torche, just next to the gite Le Presbytère.

Brittany in the summer
Summer in Brittany is a dream! The sun is back but is not extreme, with average temperatures between 20°C and 28°C. The storms are gone (most of the time!) and when they come it's a feeling of refreshment. It's during the summer that Brittany has the most tourists. It is also the time of the year that all activities are fully booked. Prices increase by up to 50% for accommodation and one needs to ensure to book a place to stay well in advance. Already at the beginning of May, many holiday homes are already booked for all of July and August.
Brittany in Autumn
This is a particular moment in Brittany. The high season has finished and the region starts to calm down. It's one of the top seasons for the surfers as the temperatures are still mild and only the nights a bit cold. At this moment, Surf Houses like Le Presbytère remain open while certain hotels and rental homes close down. Prices for accommodation begin to drop which makes it a perfect season for those on a budget. September is a great period to discover Brittany under different angles and colours. For hiking and cycling, it's the perfect moment as paths and roads are less crowded with other adventurers.
Brittany in Winter
Winters in Brittany have for long been considerd as harsh and a time not to visit the region. However, this has changed within the last few years and tourism has increased even in the colder season. One of the main reasons: Brittany in the winter has one of the milder climates of France! The storms are definately showing their strength now and again, but even this gives such a charm to the coastline that is undoubtedly an experience in itself. It's the time of the year that you can sit inside around a fireplace and enjoy an evening in the warmth with your friends and family. There are many options of gites in Brittany to rent during the lower season and rates are much lower compared to the peak season in the summer.
